Is it difficult to replace the headlights?

    hello everyone im a new member here and of course i have a question just bought a 2008 4runner and was wondering if headlight replacement is a difficult deal or not . the current ones have moisture on them for some reason. i also have a 2009 tacoma that had the headlight recall/replacement ...does anyone know of this type of recall for the 4runners? any help would be greatly appreciated

    Its fairly simple to remove headlights 3 or 4 10mm bolts. One behind the bumper under the fender some what. No tsb or recall on headlights that I know of.

    ok thanks i know the headlights on tacomas are a pain to remove/replace....any suggestions on good aftermarket replacement headlights?

    Not so sure on headlights to buy. I tore mine apart and painted them black and also done a hid projector retrofit. This video gives you a basic run down. The 4th gens are all the same as far as removing the headlights

    4th gens are pretty easy. You should be able to do it in an hour by yourself. The plastic on them get really bad if not polished/sanded when they first start to peel and deteriorate.

    I think youll be fine. I bought my 06 headlights through Amazon and have had no issues with them.
