Head unit swap

I have a 2018 Runner. Does anyone know if the 2020 head unit can be swapped into it? Or what options there are to get apple CarPlay added? I’ve seen a few different options, but I really don’t want an aftermarket unit, and I’m not sure about some of the offers that plug into the factory unit.

 

Aside from testing it yourself to see if a 2020 head unit fits yours, you’ll need to go aftermarket if you want carplay. I don’t think anyone has attempted to swap head units with a 2020. The T9 head unit I hear has some really good feedback, with keeping in mind it’s limitations.

 

I’m really enjoying my new Pioneer unit. The 9” screen size is perfect.
