Saw I only saw one thread on this with I believe maybe 2 options posted...but I’m looking for some ideas for storage in the back of my 4Runner. Obviously looked into the Plano mentioned in thread and Rubbermaid. Didn’t know if anyone else had any creative or better options? Thanks

What are you looking to keep back there? I keep a few husky bags full of tools and recovery gear in mine pretty much always. There are drawer systems for permanent storage.

Pretty much the same. Nothing permanent. A few tools, foldable shovel, couple recovery ropes, and a few smaller items.

Which bags do you use? I’ve looked at a husky storage bin I like but I may like a couple storage bags better.

Ok thanks. I’ll take a look. I believe I’ve looked at one called “large mouth” if I remember correctly that would prob fit my needs. Thanks

Those are the ones. There are different sizes. I have 3 of the medium sized ones. Each one has 30-40 lbs of stuff in it, so it's easier than trying to heave around one heavy ass bag.:D

I'm thinking of building some wood boxes that would fit under my sleeping platform. But, for now these work.:)

Thank you! I've been using it more this summer, and I'm really liking it. I just need a better mattress.

Like @Thatbassguy says, molle panels are a good solution if you have items like fire extinguishers and small shovels stowed inside that could be lethal if they became air borne in an accident. Make sure they’re skookum molle panels, if you’re fastening lethal objects to them, though. I helped rescue a bunch of surveyors whose Suburban had become air borne on a turn on a slippery stretch of the Alaska Highway in the Yukon. They landed on the ice of Kluane Lake about 20 feet below the grade of the road. The vehicle was full of instruments, loose stakes, axes, and all kinds of equipment. They all survived ok, but they wouldn’t have even spilled any blood if they had their gear stowed properly.

After long search, I have purchased DRIFTA drawer system. Right side has slider for frig which I put Pelican Case for emergency gear. And left side has pull out tray which you can pull out completely and becomes small table. LOVE IT!!! I have three SKB boxes inside drawers. TOWING, RECOVERY, RESCUE. and other tools.
