Me and a buddy are in the planning phase of our trip out to Moab and Colorado at the end of this month. We are driving out from Florida and right now I'm trying to decide if I want to run I-40 from Texas in to Flagstaff (meeting a friend there) or come in from I-10 via El Paso if there is anything worth checking out on the way.

We are going to have a couple days of free time before getting to Flagstaff of which one will be spent in Sedona running Broken Arrow and Schnebly Hill.

Are there any trail systems that run from the Silver City, NM area up toward Show Low or Payson or does anyone have some recommendations for us?

Most excellent sir!! I was going to suggest you swing through the San Juan’s, but I see you’re on top of it.
