2020 TRD Offroad is sold out

I like the red. T4R colors are generally too muted for my all too flashy tastes. When I bought my ORP recently, the sole dealership here had a white, a black and a silver. Took the silver and am spicing it up with some striping, like I did on my Taco. My previous Taco ‘12 was dark metallic blue. I found it hot, and since I’m always driving through brush the silvery undercoat would show through the scratches. Great truck, but depressing for me to look at. I’ve had numerous great red and green vehicles.

 

No ORP runners available here since 2 months ago.

 

That red looks awesome on the 4Runner. Normally not a fan of red cars, but on the Runner it looks great, especially with blacked out roof rails.

 

Checked out T4R inventory at the Maui dealership for a friend. They are down to 3 runners, all are 2WD SR5s.

 

Just got my wife a 2020 Off Road from Oahu, the dealer lots are empty. Got a white one out the door for $41,000. 0% for five years. The dealer lots are in sad shape. Out for ceramic coat will post pictures soon.

Most dealer stock in Texas is low. I think they’re getting one more shipment into port before they start ordering for 2021 trucks.

I have a specific truck I’m looking for. My local dealer will probably have it in a few days, but I have been calling around looking to see if any other dealers have it on the lot. Most want to try to order it for me.

As an aside, the car dealer experience (for the most part) is terrible.

 

Strange days indeed. You folks might want to look in the used market. Anyone that was on the fence about buying new in the last 3 months, probably got inspired by the dirt low rates and gas prices. Surplus was bought up. May not be those end of the model year price reductions out there and dealers aren't going to be willing to talk either with nothing in stock. Hopefully they pump several thousand out of Tahara in the next month.

If you're an out-of-state buyer, have them meet you at the state line. Anyone entering NM right now is required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon entry.

 

Are they actually enforcing this? How?

 

It doesnt seem possible that they could do this, but a lot of crazy things going on right now in this country. We take a lot for granted, and its disappearing. My friends that live in NY, have to quarantine for 2 weeks upon their return when they work out of state. I implore everyone to do research about what is going on, dont just rely on your daily spoon fed info. Good luck w your shopping everyone! And Good Luck to our Country.

Looks like the dealerships are pretty low on new inventory within a 100 mile radius of Charlotte. Used prices seem to be going up too. Granted, list price vs sale price are two different things. However, I paid around $34500 for my 18 TRD OR brand new, and the used 18 TRD OR with more miles than I have on mine are listed between $35-$40k.

 

More fuel for the 4Runner vs New Bronco thread lol. Hopefully all of mine will go up in value. But with inflation, who knows what they're really worth in goods and services. I remember back in 89' to 91' the value of a muscle car doubled because people with money were using them as a hedge during that down turn. I started working on my 1st gen because I read they're starting to get some collector attention.

I have been in looking in Central Texas for a reasonably priced SR5/SR5 Premium and inventory in Texas are basically all units with tons of adds. I ended up getting a 2020 SR5 Premium being sold as "new" for $10K below "MSRP". Granted the thing has so many adds like running boards, 3rd row, cross bars, paint sealant, door edge guards, blah blah. I can attest inventory is low and the dealers are just piling on adds to make each one really profitable. Hey I get it, it's a business. Austin only had a handful across South Austin, Cedar Park, Lost Pines, Round Rock, etc.

 

Jesus, I just looked and there are zero in San Antonio area. Closest one is in Victoria for 38k the MSRP is 41k

 

I had to go to Toyota of Alvin to get a deal. Toyota South Austin were willing to sell me a SR5 base for $33K OTD before trade in which was not bad. This one was $34.5K with a sticker around $44K but this was a demo with 15k miles on it but being sold "new". They had a blue SR5 Premium with similar miles for the same price but tan interior.

 

I think I got one of the last ones from Charles Maund in May!! Not a bad deal either

 

I noticed my local dealer has got their inventory of cars and Ravs back up but no 4Runners.
