Purchased recently, decided not to use after all. With mounting hardware. This does not make contact with the hood on the leading edge or the top of the hood.

    Price drop: free, pay shipping.

What is the difference from the I to the II? I'm looking for one that will help reduce bug guts on my windshield.

    Per AutoAnything:

    Bugflector
A more traditional bug deflector when it comes to hood-width, the Bugflector provides excellent protection for your hood and windshield from bugs, rocks, road-debris and more to keep your hood looking like new. Featuring a full-profile design, each Bugflector is built from a specially impact-modified acrylic material that resists everyday wear. They, too, can be sent through the car-wash without fear of damage.

    Bugflector II
More aerodynamic than the original Bugflector, the Bugflector II displays a wrap-around design to create a classic look, while still providing the protection your hood, windshield and fender all need. Sporting a sleek, high-profile design with a raised lip, this top-of-the-line component deflects bugs and debris up and over the windshield. Also, boasting off-the-hood functionality, the Bugflector II allows for convenient washing and waxing.

So the II sits a little taller then, right?

I cannot confirm that. I bought this from another member, and am no expert on bug guards. He stated it was a Bugflector II.

Just a note from the original owner: this is a Bugflector II. It sits up off the paint.

I thought it looked really good on your MGM, if I had a MGM or other darker paint I would have kept it and used it. I just didn’t like the way it looked on my super white.

I appreciate your response, thank you. It fits fine. I did put it on my MGM 4Runner, and then decided I just didn't care for the look after all. Hence putting it up for sale. It's stored away in my shed; if it doesn't sell, maybe I'll revisit using it after all.

The problem with shipping it is it uses a huge box that companies like UPS, FedEx, and USPS charge by the dimensional weight instead of the actual weight because it is so light, but in a giant box...hopefully I'll get a response from Craigslist. If you know anyone who wants one, send them my way. I asked a co-worker who has a dark blue 4R, he wasn't interested either.

I had one on my 2010 Ford explorer from day one and I drove it for 10 years and it held up and still looked good. It was an AVS , not sure what model?
My truck was black, so it blended in nicely and it actually did protect the paint well. Only downside was In the winter it trapped snow &ice and it made it doubly hard to remove from the hood.

It is, I just sort of gave up on trying to ship it due to not being able to find a box big enough. If you're really interested, I can resume my search. I put it on the local CL in the hopes someone local might want it.

Just a little help with shipping. I shipped my running boards off my 2020 Pro and all you need is duck tape and big pieces of cardboard. Protect the bug shield with some rags or bubble rap and cut pieces of card board to fit and duck tape it together. If my running boards held up for shipping that will also. Hope this helps.

If anyone out there has access to a UPS or FedEx account, and I can ship it to you using your account, I'll send it your way for free, freight collect. If no takers, I'm tossing it...

I don't. I mounted it for about 15 minutes, then decided I didn't want to use it after all.

Where are you located in ABQ? I’m local as well so if you really want it off your hands for free, I’d be happy to take it off your hands

I'm in the north Valley near Candelaria & Rio Grande.

Sorry I didn't see your message yesterday, I would have thrown this in my truck and brought it to work. I can do that tomorrow. My work is near Candelaria & I-25 on Aztec Rd NE.

PM your phone number if you want to meet up, thanks. Yup, just want this out of my storage. No cost.
