Washed it and got the road grime and bugs from my North Carolina trip off of it.

130 AMP OEM Alternator? How difficult was removal and install? How long?

This is not OEM. I removed the stock 120 amp alternator. This is a Singer alternator. 250amp. But it is made to fit in the stock location, and is plug and play.

It wasnt too bad just had to remove the battery to get enough room. Took a little over an hour. Most of the time trying to figure out what extension would work and how to reach the mounting bolts LOL

My eBay TRDP Grille arrived today. Install was easy enough and everything appears to be of good quality. It's not exactly centered but I'm still happy. $65 well spent.

I’m not sure of the noise vs the Dunlop’s, as I immediately had a set of M/T’s put on before I even took delivery of mine. I will tell you they’re VERY quiet. I drove through the entire state of Virginia in pouring rain ahead of the hurricane. As a 15 year vet of the tire industry, I’m impressed

Got my steering wheel replaced under warranty.
    20200806_113442.jpg

...as the old one was peeling like a cheap bonded leather couch. It was obviously cheaper in labor to replace steering wheel than put a new wrap on...but the DIY side of me feels like that was wasteful.

    20200803_090500.jpg

So it goes without saying that this was not a full grain leather wrap on the steering wheel. New one feels more vinyl like....maybe because it's new.

Mine is doing that too, didn't really think about sending it back to the dealer under warranty. Guess this will be on my long list of crap to do.

3 year bumper to bumper. Use it or lose it.

It seems to be a hit or miss issue. It will be interesting to see if it becomes more wide spread in the next year with all the hand sanitizer out there. It wouldn't surprise me if it breaks down the wraps if you grip the wheel before it dries.

Mine started doing that too. Dealer changed it out with no fuss. I've heard others are having issues with replacement.

I usually don't use any kind of treatment on the steering wheel because of it making it slippery. These days since I'm retired and don't drive it for days at a time I'll put some leather treatment on it, let it sit for a couple of days then wipe it down. It may or may not help but what the hell. I also have a windshield shield/ dash protector that I usually remember to use.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I got a bunch of tools this week, but the big ones are my new jack, wheel chocks, and jack stands. I finally got my jack today, and I tested out the chocks and stands. Everything's in working order, though I'm going to be grinding the saddles of the stands a little bit to help smooth things out.

I'll be installing the TRD exhaust, Treaty Oak recovery points, and the heritage grill near the end of the month. Woo hoo!

I have this kit sitting in the back of the truck but never really wanted to actually do it. You just changed my mind with the phone mount! Which Ram Mount is it? I'm sure it's a simple install but what is the process for it?

Installed the cartrimhome ultra wide side mirrors with sequential LEDs and blue tint.

The factory somehow fucked up the mold on the back and I (and others) have had to cut out the three misplaced nipples on the back.

I’m happy with the the look too. I’m looking forward to seeing how well the blue tint works during highway driving with people’s high beams on behind me.

I bought mine in Feb. 2019 and retired a few months later. Then the friggin' pandemic hit so I don't drive it much at all. If it wasn't for a few trips to North Carolina I might not even have enough miles on it for the first oil change! As it is, it's now at 7480 and I'll change the oil soon just because of time. I can still see the dip stick through the oil it's still so clean.

Keep in mind you get up to 3 oil changes with your free ToyotaCare in the first two years. Might as well use them up instead of letting them go unused.
