So that’s the exact one i tried ordering for my 2005 4Runner but then they called me because my vin number showed a different part number for the trd intake that has been discontinued. Do you know if this one will fit a 2005 4Runner? Online it says fit but i can’t find anyone who has actually installed it on a 2005.....

I saw that but two different Toyota parts dealers told me that they can’t confirm that it would fit!? Idk what’s going on.... and it’ll boost a little bit of hp and torque right? It’s got pretty good reviews...

    Welcome to the forum!

There's always debate whether these things add power or not. The general consensus is that they add very little, if any. Some folks just like the look and the noise.

As far as compatibility, Toyota seems to change part numbers on parts occasionally. I don't know why they do it. I've bought parts where the original part number was discontinued and replaced with a seemingly identical part with a new part number.

You could just go for it and return it if it's the wrong version.:notsure:

Well i am guilty of liking the noise... ‍♂️ I am going to just order it and try it out but i know there’s got to be someone out there that has already attempted it......

Nothing wrong with that! I hope it fits. Post pictures and thoughts after installation.:)

Nice! I'm curious what post-covid football will look like. I haven't watched as religiously as I used to as it's hard seeing one of the best quarterbacks ever play for a mediocre team. I hope last year wasn't a fluke. It would be nice to see Rodgers in another Super Bowl.

Well i wish i could be more optimistic about it, but I’m not planning on watching any kind of football, “worth watching” anytime soon my friend.... last year was no fluke... we’ve always had it! Go Green Bay!!! But this is exactly why we have 4runners... instead of football we have great rigs for dirt and mud... ‍♂️

Too many mods and too much money
If the one you bought is just like the pics, it looks the same as one I bought for my 5th gen. If Toyota doesn't take it back, check for cross referenced part #s with a 5th gen and post it for sale in that forum. You might recoup some of your money.
