Waited patiently for a sale, so I could buy myself a heritage-style grille for my 2020 ORP. It wouldn’t normally have been a big deal, cos they’re not that pricey, but coming out of COVID-hibernation and just having returned to work for the first time in 3.5 months, it was a big deal.

Three weeks later, the upper grille and heritage bar arrived, and I went to install them. The upper grille was a bit of a pain in my ass, requiring longer screws (length labelled, but size not,) and the heritage bar (now non-returnable,because I mounted the letters to it,) doesn’t fit properly. It sits 1/2” too short to fit seamlessly, with a 1/4” space remaining on each side. And the center mount really doesn’t fit anymore...

Im trying to fight it, but the first reaction from the seller was basically, “oh yeah; that’s pretty normal,” where the advertised product fits perfect and seamlessly. Will see how it goes.

Pre-emptive lesson learned...? When fitment is key, sometimes OEM is better; despite the price.

The sides you’re saying are too short are normal. Even OEM is the same way. I bought ones and noticed that too, there’s a small gap on each side of the piece so I just plasti dipped a small portion where the paint was showing before installing it so it wasn’t noticeable. Not sure if the seller you bought from had a different kit or if 2020’s are different but my install only took me about 20ish minutes.

I know this is an old post but I just installed one of these today. Once done t looks acceptable but install is a bitch. Nothing fits quite right. You have to force everything to get it to work. That top bracket in your 4th pic was the same way mine was. Again, pulling and pushing to force it together. I woud ahve bought OEM if I'd known what a pain this would be. The OEM stuff came right out no problem, but then the trouble starts!.
