    Hi there,
I’m in the market for a 2020 Sr5 and I’m wondering how much wiggle room there is off the Msrp. I’ve never bought new so I’m hoping I can get some advice on what a good deal would be msrp is $49,960

Could probably talk it to 48k out the door.

I got ~$4K off MSRP on my 2019. I would think that you should be able to get the same or better during this pandemic.

$49k seems pretty high for a sr5. I got my ORP for $41k +ttl in June (about 11% off msrp).

True! $49K is basically PRO MSRP. I can't imagine what options it takes to get an SR5 into that price range?.. :notsure:

Sad thing is they sell in my area for that much with a revtek lift, shitty 285’s, mall crawler steps, and a RTT. People think they’re getting a deal.

It’s crazy. You could buy one out of state and ship it to you for cheaper than what some of these dealers are asking. I’ve never paid msrp for any vehicle and never intend to.

You don’t have to buy one with a lift, 285’s and an RTT.

    In Canada (1USD=1.35CAD)
SR5 MSRP=48K (+2k extra PDI, many province 15% sales tax)
PRO MSRP=62K (72k after-tax, and, very limited number, no discount at all)
so we just talk percentage off MSRP. And we don't want the PRO.

Aha. I sometimes forget how many members we have from up there.:)

This makes much more sense now.

To the OP: I got ~$4K US dollars off MSRP, or around 10%. I would imagine you could get a similar discount. Maybe some members from Canada will have better input?

I'm curious what kind of RTT and tires. Are there any online ads you could post a link to?

I got 9.25% below MSRP on my 2020 Limited

Edit: It may be important to note that dealers typically give with one hand and take with the other. So a big discount on MSRP might be offset by a higher APR on the financing (from which they get kickbacks) and/or a low ball value on the trade, if you have one. So you don't know you've gotten a good deal until you've considered all of the elements.

I'm waiting for mine to get here from the factory.
2020 TRD Offroad - $51640 MSRP - got $2500 off and a steal on my trade-in, so $49140 (plus tax diff on my trade+delivery).
For US - 36,781.78 before tax and delivery.

Used the Costco program and was able to get the best price that way. On my 2020 Venture got $1300 below invoice + another $1500 off with a Toyota factory to dealer incentive (not sure if that's still a thing, but it was in June). Didn't have to finance thru Toyota (they sometimes require that with the factory-to-dealer thing)...was able to get better rate through my own bank. First time using the Costco car buying program and would use for comparison again with next vehicle.
