    Hi everyone,

I am interested in lifting a 3rd gen 4runner but I was trying to stay along the lines of 2 inches. I cant find any anywhere. I did come across some dobinson set up but its very costly. I wanted to know if they even existed and where I can find them.

    Thanks everyone.

You can keep the stock springs with the 5100 shocks just adjust the fronts to 2''. For the rear put 2'' spacers and change out the shocks

Go with the 5100s from Bilstein best bang for your buck and very easy to install at home.

I've posted this a few times lately, but I'll say it again for anyone interested.

I wanted to refresh my suspension and hoped for a mild lift, that actually functioned well.

I achieved this by using 4runner specific 5100's, and used coil springs from a 2007 4wd FJ cruiser. No fitment issues, rides awesome, and looks great.

If I had to guess its about a 2" lift give or take half an inch. I also added one 10mm trim packer to each side on the rear.

The front is set on the second clip, but in reality the bottom clip wouldve been ok for what I wanted. I fit Yokohama g003 265/75r16 without rubbing.

I had the 5100’s in my 02, and really liked them, they set me up for 2” all the way around.

If you're asking me about my brush guard, I have no idea the brand. The previous owner put it on.

I would advise against buying one to be honest. You're money would be much better spent on an aftermarket steel bumper with higher clearance.

This one does help move brush around when I'm on my hunting trails, but beyond that it hangs lower then your factory bumper so hinders your approach angels, and I've read they cause more damage to your vehicle during a collision.

What size of tires are these? Any rubbing or modification needed?
