MOAB suggestions for a first timer

I have a 2015 Trail with 3" lift, sliders, and 1/4" Al skid plates throughout, steel bumpers/wench.

It will be my first time there. I'm not hard core, and not looking to roll the truck.....however I am looking for medium trails. I am also in the stage in life where I don't want to dig holes to poop.

So...suggestions for camp sites with amenities and near great trails. Any suggestions for those criteria?

Hope you had a great time if you already made it out. Moab is truly a mecca. If you haven't gone yet unfortunately it has gotten extremely crowded over the years and it's really hard to find a camp spot that's not waaay out- in the poop in a hole lands. Beaut of a rig!

Try Hurrah pass, great views and relatively easy.

 

Unfortunately,Moab has been loved to death by all sorts of travellers in the last 20 years or so. Winter or summer it is a busy place. Do your homework and find the "low season" if there is one nowadays. Don't hesitate to check out other options like Southern Utah and Western Arizona. Not quite as popular or famous but more room to stretch out.

 

I haven't been to Moab since the late 90's, so I'm no help. I think I did Poison Spider and four or five other trails there. I installed a rear LockRite in my FJ-40 at the campground. You should post pics of your bumper/wench setup, that would be interesting! Welcome!
