Seen this installed a few times in Vans. I sleep in my rig very often and think this would solve a few small issues (cold girlfriend, condensation, winter camping). Its safe, efficient, small, quiet and could possibly be installed in a 2011 Trail ed. I've been thinking about it for a year and would like some advice.

Should I do it? (I've lived in my car about 4 years in total in my life and would have loved this)

    Where can I install it?

How to I pump in the hot air?
    • tap into pre-existing vents?
    • drill through firewall?
Where can/does the fuel tank go?

Maybe someone's done this or seen it? I'd add a small, second battery if I could do this.

Wow, never knew this type of heater existed. Instructions are atrocious though.

Please post pics when you've installed this, dying to hear how it went.

The dweebs at Expedition Overland installed a version of this (probably the best brand, at a top of the line price) in their AT Habitat / Tacoma, in preparation for an Arctic winter trip. They give some details on install including install of a diesel fuel tank, in season 1 of their YouTube series "Solo".

By all accounts it was a game changer especially at -10 degrees.

May be worth a watch to get some ideas.

I say "dweebs", but actually Solo is a decent show.

Edit, I looked at the link... not sure this image is really how they want to sell their product...
