Where to find engine number?

    I have just brought a 1991 v6 4runner. it has a 3vz-e engine manual 4x4. I have read around to find engine number on the engine and I haven't been able to find it. I am hoping that it has had a 2nd engine as it has 400k kms on it but I don't know where the engine numer is on the engine thank you in advance ​
