Thinking of my Dad, who taught me all I know about repairing things. He was a trained mechanic through the Canadian Air Force during WWII and was assigned to Bomber Command and kept the Lancasters flying. He was a hydraulics specialist, but back then you had to do everything, sheet metal, engines, controls. When he came back from the war he attended university and became a civil engineer and left his wartime trade behind, except for repairing old cars in our driveway. From my earliest age, I handed him tools and held stuff for him until I was old enough to begin wrenching on my own, at around 8. Haha. Simpler, good times to remember.

Does anyone else just want their wife and kids to leave them alone for fathers day, or is it just me?

    ;)

Happy fathers day everybody! I have been able to work with my dad for 15 years now. Sounds crazy but it has actually worked out and gave us things to talk about over the years. No real arguments at work lol but with age he has gained patience haha.

My dad is a retired Firefighter from LA county. He worked there over 30 years.

Was issued a bullet proof vest during the Rodney King riots because people were shooting at firefighters for some reason, ran into burning buildings to rescue people he didn't know, and saw a lot of death on a daily basis that people shouldn't see.

And when he came home, he had to deal with my punk ass.

Cheers to all the hard working dads out there

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
I got my dad a Chromecast so he can watch HBO Max and a tire repair kit so he doesn't have to wait 5 hours for AAA if he gets a flat tire.
