    A couple years ago I picked this puppy up for a couple hundred bucks. She came with boxes of parts and loads of rust. Now I’m just trying to piece her together and get her on the road. Paint will come later.

    So awesome! That shiny 22re is B-E-A-utiful! Cant wait to see it finished! Always good to see others taking a fondness for 1st gens and spending the time and money to restore these great rigs. :canada:

    Thanks! it’s been a battle getting it to this point. Probably been through about 20 liters of rust wash so far cleaning bolts/parts...man these things get rusty....

    No kidding. Especially for being as old as they are. And location plays a huge part as well. I heard about some stuff called 410 that's supposed to stop a d prevent rust oxidation. It's like a black spray paint though. Well, the stuff that I saw.


    But anyway, man! That thing is really looking brand new! You got alot of fresh looking chrome. Looks very good. You're doing a nice resto. job for sure. I'm keeping an eye on this thread. Keep at it! :101010:

    Yeah this things seen it’s share of snow for the last 30 years...I’ve been using por15 as much as I can. I’ll keep hammering on this thing and post pics as she comes along...
