New Co-Pilot Soon

Going to have a new rear seat passenger soon this is ________ (Hmmm not named yet.) She's a English Setter and still with mom, pickup is early February. I like the name Bella but other family members have other suggestions also...

Congrats, cute pup.

I like to make sure I can yell a name without it hurting my voice/throat. The best name I've heard is "I said" as in "I Said sit".

All my dogs are always named less common names...

This is Battle and Lycan. But ive also used names like Recon, Havoc, Gunner and similar. I never get girl dogs, mostly because i dont wanna deal with them going into heat, and i personally dont believe in fixing a dog before their growth plates are closed, which is around 18-24 months, but if i did have a girl dog id name her Karma.... Karma's a b!tch, just sounds cool LOL

Jessica is a good name. Don't see many dogs with that name. Brenda, Kimberly, Linda, Ashley, and Heather are also examples of non common dog names.

I didn’t name my dog “Mini Mercedes Babygirl” but it formally was “Robin’s Mini Mercedes Babygirl”....

For training purposes its normally better for a dog's name to be no more than 2 syllables. Not that more syllables are impossible or anything, just easier for the dog to learn, and easier for the owner/trainer to say with a command. Most show dogs have long names includding the kennel name, but have a shorter "nickname" or call name.

 

Thanks everyone yeah this is my first girl (dog.) I'm a little nervous about the whole heat thing also and she'll be "fixed" when the vet gives the green light not before. This dog I'm reading is very mild and polite so we'll see I've had a couple Weimaraner's in the past and their a handful my second wasn't very friendly towards other people and pets so I won't miss that attitude as much as I still miss him. I know someone getting a sibling so it'll be cool for them to be in contact once in a while.

 

Just got a new co-pilot yesterday. Indy’s the big one, and Penny’s the pup in the passenger seat (taken in a parking lot; not driving with her there...)
