Forgive me if I make a mistake as I haven't participated in many forum websites.
I am having an issue with my 2003 Sport 4.0L 4runner. I am having issues with it throwing a code that the dealer said was the need to replace the catalytic converter on the drivers side. I have 123,000 on it and am getting the code every 2 months or so.
Can anyone tell me if they have had issue with their C.C. and if so what besides the crazy priced factory ones is a really decent brand. I ask this as it is in really good shape and would like to put 300,000 miles on it as I did my 1986 TOYOTA pick up I drove every day for 24 YEARS! Also has anyone else had issue with corrosion starting on the rear lift gate toward the bottom on the passenger side?
    Thank You all in advance!

front cats I've heard that pacesetter is a decent replacement brand, never had an issue with the code though. I've never had any corrosion issues with my lift gate, is it underneath or on the outside?

Just wanted everyone to know I finally found OEM Cats on ebay from CATERAN. Got these yesterday and they are all stainless with all gaskets and 2 bolt/nut in each gasket kit. needed for install. Seem to be REALLY nice ones.
Stealership wanted 600+ for each got both for 457.00 and free shipping. Now the fun begins :) .
    Thanks.

    Sorry,
Corrosion is on rear tail gate passenger side and is causing paint to bubble.
