So I am wondering if my trouble is unique or whether anyone else has experienced it, I ordered a Bubba Rope winch line and when I received it (today) it has the most foul chemical smell I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing.
Has anyone had this same trouble and what if anything did you do about that.
I placed a call and sent an email to Bubba Rope, waiting for a reply. My experience with them has been very positive so far so I expect a reply soon. The smell is so awful that my wife made sure the rope exited the house immediately. I am hoping the 100+ degree heat in Phoenix will bake the smell out. :).
Any help would appreciated thanks all.

I recently received a snatch rope and tow strap from them and yes they were stinky but two days on the porch got rid of that.

Fairly normal (and not just with bubba rope). Should go away after a short while.

UPDATE: I heard from Bubba rope company and they told me that they run their new lines through a chemical that the military requires them to do for the protection of the line from UV and water and it helps to stop some of the fraying. They told me to leave it outside in the air for about a week and it will lose the stench. Thanks to everyone for the help.

I’m sure it’s only known to cause cancer in the state of California.
