Just purchased a 1995 4runner with 3.0 and automatic trans. Going to do trans service and wanted to know if anyone has ever found the rubber/metal trans pan gasket for the A340? I prefer to use that style but if there is something that works just as well let me know what works for you all.

    Thank you.

Lots of you tube vids on this one, take a look, also make sure you use the correct Toyota brand ATF, not the WS or IV.. it’s the other DEX one.. dealers and Amazon have it.. sorta $$ but not terrible.. people try the Valvoline and others but with mixed reviews.. apparently it’s the same lube that goes into the Power Steering.. So you can use your leftovers for that.. good luck!

I use gasket maker instead of the cheap gaskets that come with filter kits.

All of the a340h pans I’ve removed have used silicone as well.

Ok. Looks like gasket maker is the way to go. Thank you.
