Help... Transmission won't go into first

    Hey everyone, I just bought my first 4runner today, a '92 5spd 3.0 with 181k. I paid about $1500 for it. It has it's issues but it's runs pretty well.
    My only real concern is that the transmission won't go into first. You can shift it into first, but as soon as you let the clutch out, it grinds right back out into neutral. Thoughts on this?
    All other gears engage fine.
