Welcome and congrats!! With that low of mileage it probably isn't an issue, but check the frame rust to make sure it isn't setting in. He most likely kept an eye on it. I'm sure owning the Taco up there your aware of the problems they can have. Before I bought my 4th gen, I ran into a 38k mile FJ 6 speed manual down here in Florida a couple of years ago. Crawled underneath it and ran outta there at full speed. Scared me so much I went home and washed the underside of my 5th gen. Nice Score though!!

 

Going to a wool wax meet in a couple weeks, taco has been fluid filmed, so I see what this wool wax is this time.

I like to use my "build" threads to track where to get parts and what not to use.

With the time available, I want to change the oil in the runner. So what is needed is the first question. And where to order or get said items.

Thoughts from any one?

I’d recommend replacing the factory filter housing with a factory aluminum one. About $20
And if you want future easier changes, a fumoto oil drain valve is great to have

I was just trying to figure out the difference, and what would be less likely to get hit or open up.

 

Just looking at the picture, it looks like the one I posted has a nipple to attach tubing to. Both are under a protective plate so it shouldn’t matter

When you swap to aluminum, don’t forget to switch the internal funnel from the plastic one. You want the length of the plastic one.
