    Thanks man! Been really strapped for time lately. Yesterday was the first time I actually got to get out there and work on it in a while. My 10 year old daughter started hunting this year so I've been taking her out looking for her first black bear.
    You still rolling bumperless?

    lol so true. Took a torch the steering box today. I thought it was gonna be much more of a pain but there's not much to clean up. Took a few whacks with a sledge and it came right off haha. Gonna grind it in the morning and put a piece of tube in-between the frame rails to brace it more and also add a few gussets. Should hold up til I do hydro assist. Should have done it in the first place, that IFS box is getting so much stress to it, it's only an orbital!! lol

    I hear ya man. After reading about your steering issues in your thread I got to thinking that I might as well go hydro assist on mine before I get 39.5's. Damn! Just when I thought I was getting close to the bottom of my list. :frustrated:

    I got the crawl box shifter done after some cutting bending and welding. Just have to tweak the twin sticks and put my interior back together. Oh so close!!!

    Just a little update to my thread. The twins are in! Pain the ass to get them tweaked, cut, bent and welded to get them up through the cup holder without binding on anything but they're finally finished. Just gotta top off all the fluids and it's time to test.

    I'm lovin it man! Got a couple small projects to wrap on a couple of my buddies' runners and it's off to the trail. Tinkered with the duals a little on some small obstacles at my friends place. Didn't know how much I'd like it with an auto but I must say, it's fawkin awesome!!! I almost couldn't stop it in double low till I tweaked my proportioning valve to send a little more power to the rear discs. Sorry no pics/video but I'll have plenty to post once I get it out on the trail. Next up...hydro assist, 37's or 39.5's and beadlocks. I'll be hittin you up for those. After that, there's not much left but to link it:D!

    Very cool. My next task is hydro assist before I kill the frame once more....then RCV's, then I'd like to try some Irok radial 39.5's for this winter, if I can find a used set IF I have some cash leftover after polishing the turd of a 44 lol. Oh, and I shattered the rear window again and the hatch is done-for... I'm on the hunt for a new one. pita!

    Nice build. I just did duals in my '98 5spd. I twin sticked the stock case as well. I've have a few toy crawlers and didn't like not having duals in the runner. I'm wondering if the twin stick ends up in the same place with the 5spd as it does with the auto. I want to do the 99 console conversion.


    On a side note I'm putting a 3.4/auto into my '73 Ford Courier that's all toy based. It will replace the gutless carbed 22r that's in there now. It will be interesting with the 4.7 dual case setup behind it. I think a major brake system upgrade will be on order.

    3" lift but mostly all stock not a scratch on it it is pristine condition amazing for being 19 years old.
    dude that thing is bulletproof it would take a lot to fuck that thing up awesome work you are truly a master mechanic. hats off
