    Found one! Then a few more on another little pond. Also spotted this coyote about 50 feet away watching us. A bunch of American Avocets were patrolling the shorelines, too, and we got screeched at by a lot of killdeer. It’s fun what you can find in our little suburban neighborhood if you just look around a little bit!

    I used to work operations at an airport. One night we had a Horizon inbound report a birdstrike, ended up hitting a pelican. It did like $100,000 worth of damage to the aircraft!

    Nice pics!

    At Lake Hood (busiest sea plane lake/airport in the world located near me) the lake is still covered in ice and slush but we saw a dog running across the lake! The airport cops were all racing around the lake trying to get it or something. Lucky for the dog the lake isn't being used, the ice is too soft for skis.
