TRD skid plate

    The TRD skid plate will not work with 4Runners that have KDSS suspension. Has anyone found one quite similar or modified the TRD one to work with this suspension? It appears that minor bending or cutting of the rear tabs should make it work.

    I solved the problem by installing a Vanguard bull bar with skid plate at a lot less cost than the TRD plate only. It is chrome plated stainless steel and allows for mounting extra driving lights while protecting the bumper. The skid plate covers a vulnerable area where Toyota only has a plastic piece between the bumper and first engine skid plate.
