Im sure this has been discussed. I also searched before trying to post. Once again I am still new to the 4runner scene, I was wondering is there a stencil or measurements that I can follow? or was this all done at body shops? I am curious on how everyone did theirs. Thanks everyone.

feel free to drop the link to the old threads.

    Be safe everyone.

Ditto. I just installed 305/50R20's on rims with a tad more negative offset than I should have. The test drive yesterday revealed no clearance issues, but today was a different story. I'm definitely in for this mod and will prolly have to trim the front mudflaps where they cover those always-pesky body mounts. This is my FJ all over again LOL

I used painter's tape as a guide. I stretched it out and followed the contour of the bumper back to the wheel well, just below the second bolt. I cut it with an oscillating saw (multi-tool/fein tool)

The Rokblox mud-flaps are cut around the body mount for extra clearance.

That cut is perfection man. I'm a big fan of this mod and will be doing it in the future when I eventually get the tires that this mod requires.

Awesome cuts bud. Almost looks like you added a door-edge trim to the cuts. I noticed that you kept the cut at an angle right up to the fender-well, rather than leveling out like in the video.

Rokblox? Yet another thing to Google LOL

Thank you! I had the painter's tape on and off a few times before I was ready to cut. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

    Here's what I used:

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PRHG81Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xmD9Eb3Y7X9N5

It was easy to install. And, it hasn't budged through 5K miles of driving and running through the car-wash.

Finished mine. Did it for all the wrong reasons and it only reduced tire rub by 40% max, but honestly, it look good.

Tip: IMHO, the best way to cut the bumper is with a grinder. The smaller the wheel/cutting disc, the more crooked your cutting line will be.
The best would be a 4.5" disc with cutting teeth (not even sure if this exists) like a circular saw, this way there'd be no melted plastic.

I still have to install the door-edge trim, though to be honest, not really needed.
As well, the posted video doesn't show the mods needed on the passenger-side, which is more complicated than the drivers side. You've got the windshield-washer fluid tank hidden by the inner fender, so you need to trim the inner fender to shield/hide this tank, then put a couple screws in place to hold the now flappy fenderwell in place.

Drivers side is simpler, but still requires at least one screw to do the same.

I know you weren't asking me, but I used the trim I linked in the post above yours and have been quite happy with it.

Hello Gents. I’m seriously flip flopping on this. Would you guys post pics from the side straight on so I can see how it looks and what exactly is exposed. I appreciate it.
