Today I found a sweet deal on a pair of OEM running boards from another 97 Limited. Roadtrip ahead! Checked my tire pressure and added badly needed air. Checked fuses for 4WD indicator because my light stopped working. Still websurfing for leather seat replacement options...

Started and ran incredible today (haven’t started it in a week or so). Had to help the property owner move some furniture and boxes (puppy proofin the house for the new Wolf). Went to the grocery store. Even locked in 4WD for a couple dozen miles...If this keeps up I will never need a new vehicle... Antique tags next spring!!!

A9945B67-86E4-4618-AC66-30D6D5D88741.jpg Put around fifty miles on it. Went to the dentist where they proceeded to numb both sides of my mouth and scraped/pressure washed a ton of crap off my teeth and gums. Do it.....it’s worth it....Then got new lenses for my glasses, anti glare. Seems to help a lot night driving.
Got a new pair of shades, Versace Medusa’s for my upcoming trip....
    Insurance paid most of it.....

We've got a 5th gen, but a third gen from another forum was driving to Tahoe last night and got some vibration. Check his lug nuts and three of them sheered off. He put the call out for a shop or help in the area. I got tagged in the post and we were able to get it limped over here to my house/shop. Replaced all his wheel studs, checked all the other wheels, and got him back on his weekend with only a 2 hour setback. The magic of these forums works!!!!

I wish I liked eating trout more I sure do love catching them! I forgot to post it but I put a new slave and master cylinder in the 98 last Thursday. It was fine for a couple days but the clutch doesn't feel right again. I'm thinking it's time for a new one.

Well they have to be fresh. So fresh in fact they sometimes curl up in the pan cause their nerves are still active. Just twenty five minutes from the house

Do you have cutthroats there? They're by far my favorite trout to eat. My go to for planters is a brown wooleybugger on a fly rod or behind a torpedo bubble on a spinning rod with like a 2lb leader. I don't think I've ever got skunked with it. I usually catch and release trout so it makes it easy to unhook them as well.

No, mainly rainbow here. They have put brook and browns in. I have caught a golden..Ive landed/released natives on a single hooked, barbless, artificial lure, but this is very local for me. Always a nice breeze there...

My 4Runner is running like a champ. Went to trout fish in my top secret spot but I need additional clearance qualifications. I’m working on it now, Geeze! So I broke out the Z28, GSXR, Harley, and rode wheelys on the 4Wheeler!

Picked up a #70 spring today. Going to swap out the torsion spring in the clutch pedal assembly with a linear spring. Waiting on the girlfriend to get home from work so I can swap it. I will post pics when I'm done.

Hope this cures you problem. You have to drop the transfer case to do a clutch?

Swapped out the torsion spring for a linear spring. I replaced the master and slave cylinders a couple weeks ago. The clutch isn't slipping at all and engages and disengages with the pedal but the pedal usually only comes about an inch and half off the floor and then you have to pull it the rest of the way up with your toes. After having someone work the pedal while I could watch I noticed the torsion spring was binding when the pedal was returning. Thought I would give this a try before I look into putting a clutch in it. IMG_20200307_080823543.jpgtorsion spring I removedIMG_20200307_081344833.jpg
What was left of the bushingsIMG_20200307_080924083.jpgNew #70 springIMG_20200307_081315149.jpgNew spring installed. Took me about 15 mins and hopefully solves my problem!

Just took it for a spin and what a difference! Best 15 minutes I think I've ever spent on a vehicle. Pedal returns all the way now, no more squeek, pedal is a bit firmer and my cruise control works again. Anyone with a manual who hasn't done this I highly recommend it. Spring cost 4.07 and seriously about 15 minutes of your time.

Getting incredible gas mileage. Caught my 28th trout!! Had the whole stream to myself. If anyone comes by I usually snag their line and they get pissed off and go home...0139817E-7FDF-4E00-A405-A53010B132DB.jpgAnd I picked up trash someone dropped along the way. Oil change and gave up on my sunroof working properly. It’s ok though, as I din’t think it’s necessary anyway.

Checked cargo mod/sleeper platform off the list! Just need to put a longer piano hinge on that right cubby door and it'll be all set.
