Really do not know. I have the 12Volt solutions on my 2015 Ltd. Had it since Mar 2018. Use with phone app. No problems and easy install. On mine no splicing, three plug in cables and real easy programming. FIY, the yearly phone app went to $39USD and $99USD for 3 years.

Honestly, no worries on my part about it. I’m at a point where I just go with the flow these days. Technology is
Taking off and a lot of it makes life so much easier. Just pray all this doesn’t get hacked haha

The Accessorides 2020 push button remote start is back in stock, so I ordered one. I’ll let you guys know how it goes when it gets here.

I called Accessorides and they said the difference between the 2019 and the 2020 is wiring. I don’t know why Toyota changed the wires but they did.

I know 2019 didn't have the safety stuff the 2020 has. So maybe the wiring going to the steering wheel changed to accommodate the new safety stuff?

Maybe. But like in the auto dimming headlight thread, the 2019 has a 6 pin sensor while the 2020 has a 4 pin. Why the change?

Accessorides has a great plug & play system and even offers phone app starting. I put it in my wifes 2019 . It was quick and easy. She loves it.

Currently waiting for Accessorides to get back to me. There is a wire to cut on the 2020 Push Button and I sure as hell don't want to cut the wrong one. Also wondering where the heck the 7 pin connector goes?

Hello! Replied to your emails with some additional information and images. If you have trouble finding the wire or find it too hard to access the full plug and play should be out very soon!

Got your reply but no images. I'm still having trouble getting to the backside of the fuse box. I may have to wait on the plug and play.

Has any tried the start x brand remote starters? They are significantly less and still plug and play. I have a 2019 4Runner with the G-key start.

Got the Accessorides Remote start installed. Not gonna lie, pullin out the fuse box to get to the harness was a pain in the ass. Cutting a wire can be a little intimidating but once you’ve done it, everything comes together really smoothly. Every time I had a question or concern, Accessorides was right back to me with an answer. If I had to do it again, I would definitely buy from Accessorides again.

Thank you for the reply. It doesn’t seem anyone is familiar with the Start X brand. It may not be wise to buy it if it doesn’t work well. How much range do you get with the accessorides brand? Are you using your OEM fob?

The range will be the same as your key fob. If you can lock the truck at a certain range, you should be able to start it from that range :)

It wasn't the most fun install that's for sure - but glad you made it through! Luckily we have moved on and the 2020 4Runner with the push start is 100% plug and play now along with the 2020 Tacoma push start.

For the 4Runner you will connect 2 plugs on the driver side and a third plug on the passenger side behind the glovebox. For those who waited thank you for you patience!

When do you expect to have remote start with smartphone capability back in stock for the 2020 4Runner?

I wish I would have waited! Getting behind the fuse box, cutting and crimping a very specific small wire wasn’t easy!
