What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

You’re combining 2 modifications into the fender liner mod.

Fender LINER mod, is modifying the fender LINER as people have been doing since the 5th gen came out, long before cutting the BUMPER became a thing.

 

Yeaaahhhhhhh not so much. There is zero modification to the liner itself. Zero cutting of the liner. The liner is moved forward out of the way, the exposed lip of the bumper is then trimmed off. This is extremely simple to understand and works every single time.

 

Would you to quit your bickering and save this for post for what have you did to your 4Runner.

 

I didn’t say you cut the liner. The modification to the liner is pulling it forward, making new holes, and bolting it back in. That is the fender liner mod. People have been doing that fender liner mod since the pre facelift 5th gen came out.

The bumper trimming came out years later when they changed the bumper.

The fender liner mod is done as a part of the bumper trimming modification, but bumper trimming modification is not part of the fender liner mod.

@Backwoods ...please don't buy a welder until you do the classes. You will know what you want after that. I wish I had some gi bill left. It was so nice not footing that school bill. I used all of mine. Although I suppose I paid for it in other ways

 

I've ordered the fog lights and 20 degree sliders from Cali Raised. upon my return to Chicago I will have fog lights as they were already delivered and the sliders soon i hope...

My Parents took my sis and I to Crater Lake back in the late '60's. IIRC, we were able to drive all the way around it.
But a few times in later years, there was too much snow to go completely around it.
And I remember one time when we took the boat tour to the island.
Years and years later, my Mom showed me some B&W photos of some of those vacations.
