I have always had a bad habit of only keeping vehicles for about 2-3 years before upgrading. I'm well into my 5th year of ownership of my 4Runner and just crossed over the 60k mark. Normally she'd be gone and something new would be in the stable but I can't seem to find anything that even comes close to rivaling my 4R. I've looked at the new Tacomas, Tundras and even the new 2015 STI's but still can't imagine trading in my 4R. She's just to awesome to do it! Think I've found a keeper!

Is she your daily driver? 60K in 5 years is going pretty easy on it.

I been itching to take one for a drive... Never seen a group speak so highly of their vehicles.

Yes she's my daily driver. For the last year and a half I've been living about 3 miles from work so I ride my bike in pretty frequently. Before that I was putting about 45 miles on her a day plus the trips back and forth to Seattle.

Coming to grips with the MPGs of my Tundra so the 4Rnr is the grocery store getter......and man after driving and F-250 for 11 years and the F-150 these two vehicles just feel so nimble!

I presently cannot imagine trading these two in. Unless wife can no longer climb aboard then I'll have to modify one of those stair lifts lol....!

Yup yah got a keeper but maybe you can enjoy the little things like replacing suspension bushings with those nice slick poly ones for a smoother ride?

There may be a lot of nice tinker around mods to keep her fresh....... ;-)

Just hit the 10-year mark with my '05 Sport....besides the caliper issue and a couple of front wheel bearings the truck has been flawless. It still has the original panasonic battery, that's still going strong. Will most likely hang onto the truck, considering what a dealership will give me....but I'm wondering if the new 3.5L direct injection will find it's way into the 4R?

I've been fine until we got one in the shop the other day. Brand new trail edition, black leather inside, kitted out fairly well with ARB bumpers and swing outs and such. Now I want one.

Yup. Two of them, as a matter of fact. I don't know if I have permission to say where they're headed and with who, but they should be appearing in a certain video production shortly. ;)

The fronts had stock bumpers, there could have been winches hiding under there, I didn't look. Pretty certain the rear swingouts were ARB though.
