    Hey everyone,
First off, Im in Australia, so I hope someone can help me... not sure if my model was ever sold in the US. Im having a lot of trouble finding a new fuel sender for my 95 2.8L diesel (LN130R). Mine is cracked and is leaking badly when filled past 2/3 tank. The dealer gave me the part number 83320-80134 but said that they're not available.

Is there anywhere that has this part? Is there an aftermarket version? Does the part number supercede to a newer version? Is there a similar version from another model that would work, even if its slightly different (without low fuel thermistor, perhaps from a landcruiser or something?)?

Ive been looking for days and cant find any helpful information.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Sounds like a diesel Hilux.. wish I had one! The parts for the diesels are available in japan. Lots of them.. all the deisels here in USA were mostly imported.. only Hilux diesels 4Runners I’ve seen are all over the Middle East and Asia... good luck mate!

Thanks a lot for the reply. I also saw that 80119 part, though it took me a lot longer than 20 seconds to find . Looks to be similar, just without the low fuel light thermistor. I wonder if the resistance is the same between the LN106 and the LN130... They have the same fuel capacity...

I guess Ill just have to suck it up and try it out.

After a bit more looking I found that despite being the same volume, the LN106 and the LN130 have different fuel tanks. The sender on the 106 mounts to the top rear of the tank, the 130 mount to the top front, where the tank is stepped down quite a bit. The gasket is the same, though....

I would call them or a similar parts company.. Hilux parts are all over Asia and the ME...

I contacted a few places in Japan and Dubai, but they also said that the part is no longer available. I sent some emails to a few other parts places and they all said that the 80119 part wouldn't work. I may just make a blanking plate and cap off the sender location. Its a bummer that no one has the right part anymore.

Can you use a universal sending unit?

Sorry mate, read the post wrong initially, going external would be for fuel pick up.
Your just having an issue with it communicating your fuel level. Correct.

There are MILLIONS of these rigs. You will find one.
