    Just tint so far
I finally got the car of my dreams, 4Runner off road. Got a tint and looking at what to do next. I plan on traveling around and disappearing for a while. Any suggestions about what to mod to make this beast able to go ANYWHERE? Looking into a little lift, ladder and roof tent. Any suggestions?

    Welcome!

Lift and tires are a good start! Those will get you a few more places than the stick setup and will help support the added weight that’s coming along the line.

As for a RTT, depends on your budget and what you’re looking for. I picked up a CVT Mt Shasta a few years back during their tax sale and for a ladder...I’d steer clear of Gobi. It’s a nice ladder but the wait time is atrocious (took me 9 mo this to get mine).

Oh, for mounting the RTT you can get a set of Thule or Yakima cross bars to run across the OE roof rails and it’ll support the RTT (if you’re not getting a rack anytime soon)

Congratulations, and welcome to the forum!

Lift and tires are a good start. Depending on the type of terrain you intend on driving through, skid plates and rock sliders are good protection from trail damage.

Have fun spending all of your extra money on your new 4runner!:D
