Installed the accessorides remote start and phone app on wifes truck. Works great. However, now and again her phone will blow up with this loud obnoxious alarm from her starter app. Tap the phone and brings up the app but it shows no alarm or history.
Happens randomly... driving, parked, day, night... for no apparent reason.
There is never any effect to the truck... no lights, horns, shutdowns, nothing.

I have emailed accessorides but wondered if anyone here has experienced this..

I dont have this installed, but from a controls perspective keep an eye on whether or not the phone an vehicle lose cellular service and regain it when this happens.

Interesting. It will be difficult/impossible to check this unless by chance since it happens sporadically. Maybe once every couple weeks. It has happened while driving, sleeping, and during meetings so she isn't able to simply monitor it until the alarm happens again.
I will ask her if its ever happened while on the phone. If so, that should answer that right?

Can't you just change the default sound in the app or your phone's main settings to something less obnoxious? I do that with every app I install.

Not sure it will fix the issue. As far as controls systems, unless you have it programmed to ignore, loss of communications would mostly cause an alarm condition. If the vehicle (which has a sim and cell service) loses cellular signal it could cause the alarm condition. I was mentioning it as a suggestion for troubleshooting.

Hello. There was an issue on the app a while back that it would send (false) alarm notifications from time to time. Didn’t happen on all of the them it was a very small number of users that saw the problem. It was addressed/updated and we haven’t see any issues since. I will call tomorrow to have your device looked at and they should be able to send the update to it to resolve the bug. Thanks!

Were you able to get the system updated? Is there anything I need to do with her truck?

You are all good to go, a reset was sent to your device that should take care of any issues. Also, you can go into your phone app settings (actual phone settings) and disable sound notifications.
