So I found this runner on clist that seemed like a nice little rig: 220k, 5speed stock everything for $1800.

I check it out, head gasket is on its way out (of course) but it was oddly clean. I left, a week later I lowball him at $800 and he took it.

After cleaning the interior I find that I'm the 3rd owner but the 2nd owner only put 13k on it. The original guy bought it from Va and kept every service record up to 200k! I even scored the window sticker lol.

Drove it for two months then the gasket went. So I decided to do a rebuild. I ordered the rebuild kit from engnbldr with the RV head/cam setup.

Will add pics and more tonight, sucks doing this on the phone.

The old tired 22re was rough looking but clearances were awesome, no internal damage and pistons were in great shape.

Got the new head on from engnbldr

Then it ended up looking like this

During the install I came across this little gem, a year old skyjacker 4" lift with 4" springs for $300

Forgot to take a pic after cleaning but it looked brand new

Also grabbed this engo on sale

Welded new sky manufacturing shackles on the rear
    [IMG]

Picked up some cheap 33s which I ran for a couple months
    [IMG]

    Looked good with the tsls

But I found these couragia mt tires and fell in love, these things have 20k on them, numerous wheeling trips and rocks. They still have a ton of tread and ride great.

Then I completely stole a soft topper I found on craigslist

Later I added a spartan in the rear and went to Rausch Creek

    Love this pic

Since then I've added some removable door hinges

Still going to do gears and a front locker, going to hold off on sas until after my wedding.

This is from the most recent trip to Frenchies pit

The 4.88s definitely restored the power back to mine when I went to them. Found a barely used 3rd on CL. Then got an ADD factory 4.88 ifs from a '93. Swapped my long side axle on and viola! Regeared for $240! I couldn't have done it without the help of @PisaRunner. Thanks bro!
