Hello, I recently purchased my first 4Runner - 2005, 4WD - and the first thing I did was bring it to a mechanic buddy of mine for a once over. Well, the mechanic went over it and said that although it's in good shape overall, there were a few things that needed attention - front sway bar links & bushings, left front strut & bushings. Regarding the strut assembly, I am planning on going with a Duralast LS53-90411 unless someone can tell me why I shouldn't. I was also considering replacing the right side at the same time so they performed and aged equally. I haven't looked into the sway bar issue yet and am interested in hearing what anyone might have to say about brands or whatnot.

SR5, Sport, or Limited? Or put another way, does it have X-REAS?

Doesn't have X-Reas. I already bought the strut assemblies - Duralast - as I couldn't wait until someone was able to chime in. I still have to by links and bushings for the front sway bar so if you have any thoughts on that, I'm all ears, thanks.

I bought Moog stab bar links on Amazon for the front & rear in February 2019 and so far, so good. No issues.
