"Ain't never been there they tell me it's nice"

Looking at a vacation this spring to Maui. Any suggestions/specifics on where to stay are mucho appreciated. I like to snorkle (no SCUBA), we should play at least one round of golf, and I want to take everyone on a whale watch. Other than that, beach time and relaxing. Mom and Dad, my bro, and me and SWMBO.

If you decide to snorkel please be safe. Plenty tourist here drowning.

Road to Hana. Rental car companies might not want you to drive some places but I've done it in a rental no problem.

If your gonna drive the road to hana, don't rent a hummer! road is skinny as heck and I had to keep backing down to let people by. even a car would need to back off. anyway take the copter flight, much better and don't take the black sand! 10 yrs ago it was about gone

Snorkeling, you should take a half day catamaran boat trip to Molokini.
Sunrise a top Haleakala crater however its limited now and reservations are needed. You can also bike ride down the mountain after.
Road to Hana, up to u if u just need to kill about 5hrs to go all the way around.
For golf, either Kapalua or Waialea if $ not a problem, if not Maui Lani or Pukalani are reasonable and challenging.
The Maui Ocean Ctr has a new exhibit, might be another good time killer.

Be mindful of the ocean, never turn your back to it.
    Be safe and have fun.

You guys are nuts to fly in a copter.

Those things go down too much for me.

10000 parts in very close formation! I've only flown in one once, and I jumped out of it. I'll have my 80+ year old parents with us, so we probably won't be doing much of the really exciting stuff. M & D will probably just hang on the beach or by the pool for most of the time, though I'm sure they would want to golf. Just watched a match at Kapalua on the TV and it looked beautiful. Might be a wee bit pricey though. Thx for the tips!

Went to Maui for my Honeymoon 2018. We stayed at the Andaz and it was excellent! We then stayed at another hotel on Oahu and it couldn't compare to the Andaz!

You have to try a taco place called Coconuts for their fish tacos, it was one of our favorites.
