    Hello all,
I am looking at this 2004 4runner that has a blown tranny so the seller is giving me a great deal; however, when I went to check the car out, there was more rust than I expected.
I know the frame looks pretty bad, but i think I can get this car for 1500 and the car has less than 150k on it and a V8.
I located a tranny and know someone that can install it for me.
Is this rust fixable or is the car too far gone to be economical?
What range would it be? $500-$1000, more or less? (it is worse in real life than pictures)
    Thanks in advance.

I would walk away, but that is just my opinion. It kind of surprises me how unsafe some of these vehicles are, but are still driven daily.

Agree with above statement, walk away, not worth the price of admission.

That looks pretty bad for 16 year's. I'll assume road salt and never washed it?
