Puddle Lights

I noticed my friend's 4Runner TRD ORP has puddle lights on the side mirrors. Does the TRD Pros have puddle lights too?

I would check mine but I'm actually on vacation visiting my friend and I'm really curious if the Pros have them because I never noticed it.

 

My 2015 TRDP does not have puddle lights. You’d figure Toyota would add that feature at this trim level, also along with the blind spot mirrors with turn signal indicators. All mine came with was the mirror defrosters.

I put them on my Tacoma. They work like a champ

 

I looked into converting the mirrors on my 4R PRO to the aftermarket SUMA turn signal mirrors and found out the PROs do not have the existing turn signal wires in the mirror housing. You’d have to tap into the signal wires elsewhere in the vehicle which I did not want to bother doing. YMMV

I have a 2019 Pro 4runner, I wish it came with puddle lights and or at least side marker lights like my other Pro Tacoma. I upgraded to the Meso side marker lights and its makes a huge difference.

yea, the limited and even the SR5 Prem has a lot more options and features than the 4runner Pro.

 

My buddy has a Tundra Pro and we talk about this all the time. On a 2019 Tundra the seats are not heated and no dual temp controls...and a few other things. How supposedly the Pro is the highest trim level and does not even have features the other trim level has....LOL

If I'm not mistaken, my 2019 Off Road Premium has puddle lights.

I can't imagine why the TRD BRO wouldn't have them..

 

For the 4Runner and Tundra I think the Pro trim level doesn’t have other features the limited or SR5 Prem trim level has, but the Tacoma Pro it does. The Tacoma Pro has all the features/options.

 

Some dealers has mark ups or market value adjustment as they would call it LOL. There are some dealerships that will sell at MSRP or $500-1000 below. I guess it’s all what you want to pay for it. The Ford Raptor, Supra, and few other models/makes has mark ups but if you search and are not willing to pay the mark up you can find one.

 

Wow! That sucks. The PRO looks great. But, I can't imagine paying $10K more for a vehicle that's actually less capable than mine. I'm sure you're just paying for resale value. Which is odd, since the resale value of the Offroad drove me to buy new. Those pros must be selling like hotcakes!

 

Can’t imagine paying mark up either. It doesn’t make sense but some people do all the time. My local dealership had two 2020 4runner Pros and they sold them within a couple days. The craziest mark up I personally saw was a lifted Tacoma SR5 with wheels and tires, they wanted 15K mark up.

 

They do around here, most dealers have deposits on ones they don't even have yet, others cant keep them past a weekend

 

People love special editions, no doubt about that!

The PRO is a special edition of one of the best built, most reliable vehicles with awesome resale value.

I can't blame anyone for buying one. They look great, and you can hardly lose money on them if you try.

 

Yep some do back down, others don't. My dealer wanted 10k over msrp on my 20. I pulled up cars dot com and said look, here's 4 more on the lots within 200 miles of here, you really gonna make me drive? just like that they said ok they would match it, lol. Dealers suck but hey, someone needs to pay for the building, taxes, utilities, salaries and the owners profit!

 

This is true. The biggest factor in getting a really good price on a vehicle is your willingness to walk away.

I got $4K off my 4runner and about $3K over trade in value on my Tacoma by saying "I can't afford this" and meaning it. They showed me two deals that were fair, but not in my fantasy budget. I was about to leave when the sales manager decided he really wanted to sell me that 4runner.

 

I just wanted the Pro because Blue is my favorite color. That voodoo blue is just amazing to me. I got lucky though I found a dealership near me that doesn't have markups on the Pro. I paid MSRP OTD.
