Okay everyone, so now that the KDSS nightmare is over to much joy, I am looking to get a RTT. The one I am looking at weighs in at 149lbs and recommends 3 load bars. I am looking for a no drill full length rack that can support at least the weight of the tent plus other gear. I also want it to be a no drill application that won't interfere with the sunroof when the equipment is not loaded on top.

The tent I am looking at is the Eezi-Awn 1600, as I love the way the cover attaches with a ratchet strap instead of a zipper. If anyone has any experience with this please let me know. All the reviews I have seen are positive.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

I have an ARB rack and fit kit. It’s a no drill option and I believe I paid $850 for it out the door.

As for the straps vs zipper. I have heard they wind will get up under there and poof up the cover. I figure if wind is, then rain will to.

with my CVT, it’s got a zipper and I just made a longer pull handle and attach it with a clip to the zipper when needed be and it’s not too bad

I think any of them will work just fine? See what you like. All no drill options. Prinsu, Baja, frontrunner, southern style...just a few

Is that a 3/4 rack? looks like it would interfere with the sunroof?

I have looked at the Victory, and Gobi so far will look at the Prinsu and others mentioned.

    Thanks,
    Jimmy

It is and I don’t have a sunroof so it doesn’t matter to me. I actually opted out of the sunroof model after my last 4R and STi.
There’s enough clearance that the moonroof would still open.
