Don't forget the re-gear... Gonna need 4.88s at least for the 37s. While you're in there, might as well put in a locker... :spending:

 I knew someone was gonna say that!!! Just like thinking I'd leave Mojave wishing I had bigger tires!

But I've thought about it at some point, just a matter of getting to that point. While on topic, any good shops you'd recommend to do the work?

Yeah, that's something I need to think more about later anyway, have some time if the SGU/BSTRDs don't break me down before then! Hahaha

Luckily when I ran the Mojave Rd with Joon and the BasTRDs, my 4Runner hung tough! I drove faster on dirt than I ever had! I was talking to Joon the other night and when he and Alex launched the truck, setting off the airbags, that was the second time in six months that he had airbags go off in his face!IMG_3146.jpg

Yeah, not sure I'll be that crazy, but those bags seem to go off at the oddest times! Roy's bags didn't go off when he went over the sand dune! And he had to have had at least 4 foot of air time!

Has anyone here taken the Rowher trail to Bouquet, in the Rowher flats OHV area? I was over there on Sunday and ended up playing in mud and practicing some of the smaller climbs. That climb to the top of the hill looked too terrifying, especially alone.

My friend and I will be at GVL Rd./Crab Flats Rd.-3N16 trailhead Sunday 5/17 @9am if anyone is interested. We'll be running 3N16, 3N93, maybe 2N06x. 3N16 is an easy, Green Circle trail while 3N93 and 2N06x are Black Diamonds. Sorry for the late notice.

Man I miss working and wheeling on 3N93. I hope that the Gabion baskets on that narrow shelf are holding up well.
We removed a lot of the rock stacking rocks from the West End gate keeper to fill those baskets.
I had a lot of fun times and hard work with MyJeepRocks.com
I wonder if FJ Cruisers are still maintaining Lower Larga.
Paul, If you could, please take and post pics.
    Thx, Steve.

Thanks for all your hard work Steve! I'll be sure to take pics. Is it the section a little past the westend gatekeeper? That part is always sketchy! I'm not sure if the FJC group is still maintaining it. Thanks especially for removing all the damn stacked rocks! I don't mind if you need to stack a rock or two to get thru, but unstack it when you're done ppl! If you're stacking, literally, a ton of rock to get by, then maybe you don't belong on that trail! They're almost turning black diamonds into blue squares. :facepalm:IMG_2942.jpg

Oh man, I want to run 3N93!
I don’t think I’ll be able to make this run, but appreciate the invite! I’ll let you know if current plans change and I can join.

    Otherwise have fun Paul!

Thank you and yes, you know exactly where it is. The hard work was definitely a group effort. Between MJR, the USFS and the helping hands of other clubs and individuals that use and respect the trail.

Again thank you for your service! Too many ppl take the access to these trails for granted. Years ago, when my boys were little and still wanted to hang out with their pop, I’d give them trash bags and have them pick up trash and other assorted junk along the trail. I was always amazed at how quickly they’d fill up their bags. :(

Yeah, that's good stuff man. I have very fond memories of my Parents making up little games for my sister and I.
Like picking up pull tabs and bottle caps. And then finding sticks, twigs, paper trash and dead branches to to build a campfire so we could toast marshmallows.
And sometimes even the rare treat of making S'mores. Eyes on the prize.
Now in resent memories on trail maintenance days, I'm glad to report that less and less trash was to be found. Sure the occasional water bottle or can can still be found, but
certainly not as much. I remember one time a couple of years ago, I stoped to pick up a half deflated Mylar ballon about 50' off the trail and heard a faint yell of "THANK YOU"
coming from somewhere. I looked around and it came from a hiker on the Pacific Crest Trail. It's some of the small things that make your day.

The trails were tough! At least White Mtn. was. Especially the section east of 3N11. Didn’t get to do 3N93 tho because some idiot in a stock 3rd gen Tacoma got stuck/broke? right at the entrance. And then there were a bunch of aholes in SxSides all over the trail clogging it up. Major clusterF!
Didn’t get too many pics but here’s a few:7ACC8630-8B35-48FD-AB9E-DB8B6B245830.jpg07F3E1CD-C593-42F0-8373-48B4E86030DF.jpg A25BC1F2-9072-4C22-9321-1A8DEDCC3FAB.jpg F8C68A14-A03F-4AF8-AB72-A07A96385D99.jpg Saw this on 3N16! Don’t know the story but it looks like someone went over the side. Respect the mountain!
It’s a shame we can’t post videos straight from our phones. Got a bunch of good vids from the trail. :(

Man bummer about that 3rd Gen? and not running Holcomb. According to the USFS, SxS and dirt bikes (non street legal/licensed) are not allowed on 3N93.
There's a hefty fine if caught by Smokey Bear. And thanks for the pics Sir. Looks like a beautiful day for dirt therapy.

Really? Cause it looked like a KTM convention on all the trails today.

The last time I was on that trail was in the summer of 2018. It could be that the FS has found a way to generate money from non street legal/licensed vehicles.
Three years ago, I went to an Adopt-A-Trail meeting and their main concern (in California at least) was the SxS and dirt bikes created their own path around gate keepers
and rock gardens. The FS was "ok" with the idea of creating a narrow path for licensed/street legal dual sport motorcycles though.

I believe CA. could really benefit from the legalization of SxS for highway use.
And now that the weather up here in Montana is getting nicer, SxS are out in force cruising Main street.
And we don't have a helmet law either.

I agree with you that they should legalize SxS for the streets. Those goofy Can-am trikes are legal. At least SxSs look cool. I’d totally rock a Honda Talon! 14F97308-0FD0-4A02-8020-C4619E45384F.jpg
