285/70/17 or 275/70/17 with 3" lift?

I have a 2007 limited 4runner with a yotamafia lift kit (says its 3")
I am now about to buy wheels and tires for it.
I want to run the biggest tire size possible but not have to do a body mount chop.
fender trimming and things of that nature I am fine with.
Should I run the 285/70/17, or the 275/70/17

 

I ran 285 on my 2008 when i had it and had to trim the fender in the front. 275 would be good and should not have to do any trimming.

 

what size lift do you have @JET4

 

you'll probably have to do some trimming with the 285's... shouldn't need a BMC

 

Had Bilstein 5100 set at 2.5 lift.

 

just another question, then how do people have to get BMC with 285s?

Tires themselves can be different... but usually has to do with the backspacing or offset of the wheel

 

I am running 285 Toyo Open Country ATs with a 3 inch Bilstein lift and 1" spacers...I had to do some decent trimming on the inside plastic, but no BMC or cutting of the actual front bumper. The mud flaps were also rubbing, so I removed those.
