local car clocked at 165mph on I75N (Corvette C5). Court charged him with a Felony and gave him 120 days in jail and a $5000 fine. Think what it would be if an accident happen at those speeds. Hope you know Bubba pretty well.

So hateful? Just experiencing the designed ergonomics of a vehicle. Though should be on a controlled track....I for one follow all traffic laws. Except when someone’s on my a$$ with overpowered LED’s. I try not to hold them up...:)

"Just experiencing the designed ergonomics of a vehicle" So, lets play a game. I"m the state Trooper and I finally caught up to you and stopped you and asked "what in the world are you doing driving 193mph on a public highway". You respond with that quote. Do you really think that would work? You could be charged with multiple felonies and the loss of the car. When they did arrest you and say "you have the right to remain silent" that's the nicest thing the police will ever do for you. LOL:crapstorm:

I don’t think it’s a smart idea to go fast in the states, I mean common the majority of people behind a steering wheel a lazy morons that stays always on the left lane, cut your right of way off etc. because they got no clue
I love to drive fast and I did it many times for thousands of miles but that was on the autobahn, people drive with discipline instead of a smart phone in the hand...

I drove more then once from the west coast to the north coast and yes there is plenty of road in between that’s empty and in good condition but i had as well people that turn ahead of me in the middle of nowhere with an acceleration from 5-45 mph of 10min...

IMO the vehicle should be donated for a traffic injury fund, the driver should loose his license for at least 3 years with a big fee on top and before he can sing himself in again for a new driver license he need to pass a “traffic worthy”-test by a certified psychologist and a traffic trainer

103 mph average. not 193. Don't trust Fox (no political implication there, many of their lifestyle/auto pieces are just plain inaccurate).

Still extra-legal speeds. People doing these runs are usually safer than the average driver. They have all the electronic goodies and usually spotters up ahead but still a dangerous game.

Off course 193mph can’t be the average speed, because that would mean that the top speed would be way above that...

Even a average of “just” 80mph implicate that the top speed was far away from acceptable since every stop lower the average drastically

Correct. If he averaged 193mph he would have been driving 225mph at least as a TOP speed.

According to HIS computer in the car his TOP Speed was 193mph. What made this even worse was the fact they were worried about deer. They said they saw 50. I never heard them say I hope no children are crossing the highway. Total idiots.

Worried about deer? Really? Doesnt seem like they were worried very much. I likely would have abandoned this project by the time I encountered the first one or two.

Supposedly these genius drivers didn't figure into the chances of it being deer season in many of the states they drove in.
