That looks massive unsafe for most drivers & a plowing nightmare. What about tourists?
    No thanks.

That would absolutely suck to plow. I've never plowed roads only Airfields but I can only imagine how much that would suck!

    That looks crazy!

After thinking it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen, I thought about it and realized that it might work extremely well. It minimizes the amount of cars that would have to cross oncoming traffic to get on the freeway. I actually think it's pretty brilliant.

That said, roundabouts have been around in my area for awhile now, and there are still tons of idiots who don't know how to drive in them.

So, it could be a clusterfuck due to the fact that most people drive like they have their heads up their asses.

Nope, never seen a blade like that (20 yrs in the industry). I have seen poly edges but nothing like that. I will say that you are a little further North than I & probably get more snow. I do like the concept!
I use 2x 8' Boss straight blades and have never had to replace a cutting edge since the first plow purchase in '03. However; my buddies Vee blade went through a pair in 9 yrs. No idea why. Maybe his lift, cutting angle or something I have no clue about. I do commercials mainly as I have the salt spreader but mine still last longer.?

Nevada and Utah are constructing more of those DDI things. They seem to be doing well.
In So.Cal., the old and out dated clover leaf design just plain sucks in heavy traffic. The new "Fly Over" designs are keeping heavy traffic moving.

Had one or two when i was in Kansas. They work well. Avoids people not being able to merge on/off the highway and speeds up the left hand turn lanes. Only issue is, left turns have right away. So when people can't read the red signs that say "Stop" when making a right turn.

Well I drove it the other night. It’s wierd. The way it’s graded before it, you cant see the road for a second. Then the light is red for like five minutes, even if no one is coming. You have to have both hands on the steering wheel for the turns. Lanes are very narrow. Says it’s a 40 mph speed limit but I say 25mph...lol

What about snow? I am ignorant as I have never seen one, but it seems a snow removal nightmare!
    Thanks.

I moved out of the area it's in so have not been over it in the snow but do it works great otherwise. I honestly don't see how it would be a pain to remove the snow though.

P.S. Coming through KC from Nebraska. Your interstates are ridiculous!
I have been driving through KC for 20 yrs. If you miss your exit, you may be in Kansas or some time loop!
The interstate system in that city is built by people on acid trying to mess with people. LMAO

Hilarious, I agree. Was there one year with my son and we missed an exit. Ended up taking a tour around the city in order to get back to where we needed to go. Luckily we weren't late to where we were headed.

I wasn’t gonna say anything until after the holidays but have to get it off my chest. I’ve been over our diverging diamond three times now. The whole area stinks so bad like raw sewage you have to turn off the air conditioning and if you light a match in the vehicle you would probably blow up.....

Yeah we have one of these "power diamonds" in VA not to far south of me, its the most ridiculous thing I've seen, you can't get through the whole thing w/o getting grapes at one of the lights. Then you have to merge together instantly w/ traffic coming off the freeway at full speed.
Whoever came up with this design needs to be dragged out of his office and slapped by everyone as the sit at the lights.
