I was able to put this bare block in my 4R to deliver to the machine shop for boring .030 over, new cam bearings and freeze plugs. Then the bare block was at the exact height in the back to bolt to the engine stand to complete my build...39E37770-0B93-4E31-A047-9E0CB286E279.jpg

Well I put a monster cam in it first (292), with a heavier spring ofcourse. While it was in the car. But, after I lost oil pressure, and I rebuilt it, I noticed the hydraulic roller lifters left groves in the cam at only a few thousand miles. Hence I opted for a baby billet steel cam. And I love it!!! Plenty of power at lower RPM’s...

Sounds like a nice build. Are you still running the 292 duration cam? What's the lift on that sucker? I'd imagine at least .600..? What's the rockerarm ratio? Did you go single plane intake or dual-plane? Any pics of this beast?

The 292 XFI is the biggest cam you can install without flat tappet lifters. Like I said in my previous post “the hydraulic roller lifters wore groves in the cam lobes”. “So I opted for a baby cam and I love it”, 1.6 roller tip rocker arms, heavy springs...white Bosch 36# injectors with a tune....I have videos.....

It’s Speed-Density so no MAF sensor, easier to tune. I have a removable/programmable chip...

I have four different air filter/intake tubes. This is my H.A.I. (Hot Air Intake) but it looks good. I’m actually back to stock it pulls air in from the front/right headlight area....
