Just bought my first car - 1997 SR5 4Runner. Joined because I think the lower ball joints are bad (steering wheel groans loudly at low speeds). Don’t really mind though as I Bought mine in otherwise great condition for 250k miles for only $1200. Was wondering if there are any mods/upgrades/tune ups I should go for?

    Welcome!

I would do the standard tune-up and fluids.

Also, I would inspect the timing belt and replace if necessary.

nice! I agree with ThatBassGuy...get the basic stuff and those ball joints squared away. I'm somewhat new to the platform myself, but have been a Toyota fan for years, I bet that thing will go forever.
