I went with the GE Megalight Ultra H11 bulbs, and OEM LED foglights. I haven't swapped the high beams.

I’ve been running the GE’s for the last several months. Much brighter than the oem bulbs, obviously. Noticed the difference immediately. My one complaint was that the light seems very focused down the middle of the road. It was such a significant upgrade that I accepted the trade off of losing what little light was directed to the ditches with oem bulbs anyway.

Well, last week i happened to notice just how far down the coating extends down the sides from the tip of the GE bulbs. I compared it to a Sylvania XtraVision and the coating on the Sylvania was nearly 1/4” closer to the tip of the bulb.

I bought them, installed, and immediately noticed that the beam pattern extended to the ditches much better.

Conclusion: the GE is definitely brighter, but I think the beam pattern is better with the Sylvania. There’s a trade-off there. For me, I’ve decided I’ll take the slightly less brightness for more light on the sides of the road. The Sylvania also puts more light down directly in front of the truck.

Is there any signs of heat melting the headlight housing?

Do you drive with your fog lights on? I've noticed that the LED fogs extend much better to the sides than the OEM. Maybe that's why I haven't noticed as much of an issue with the GE bulbs. I'll give the XtraVision bulbs a shot when I have to replace the GEs.

No I don’t drive with fogs on. But I know what you mean- I’ve got the Philips LED fogs. They’re awesome and do light the ditches well.

But my eyes lose some distance sensitivity with all that bright light directly in front of the truck. So I only use the fogs when absolutely necessary at highway speeds. In town, it’s not as much of an issue.

50w HIDs wont melt anything. Factory halogens run at 55 watts. The issue is the add UV's will "burn up" or scorch the inside of the projector. Even 35 watt HIDs will do that over time inside a projector that was only designed for halogens.

That being said, I am about to install denso 35 watt ballasts (potted and amp converted) with some Philips XTR rebased h11's into the wifes 2018 Sr5P. Will post photos soon.

I have the Xenondepot Phillips hids. They are mega bright and honestly in hindsight, I wish I would have just gone with aftermarket bulbs cuz these are so bright they really mess with oncoming drivers. So I have to frequently re-aim them. But when there are no oncoming drivers, these things are awesome.

Hello Everyone, here is an Update. I went with the Xenon Depot Xtreme HID's 5k. They are ok. Better then stock for sure. Just not the width i was looking for. It will do. I think i should have done the 6k instead, but i was thinking it maybe too bright.

Heres some pics with the same Xenon 5k that you have. bit further down is GTR led that's a 6k color. Found out the color hurts some peoples eyes so I sold them

I always drive my fogs on and I have led fog lights and the pattern is way wider than the stock fogs.

Bought wife a 2020 limited about 2 weeks ago. First night she said turn on the headlights and I said they are on haha. She said nope that’s not going to work because I’m already a bad driver. Bought the headlights from headlight revolution and matched the fogs with morimoto. Yes pricey but couldn’t be happier.
For the price of the trucks, the stock lights are god awful. Just sayin!
