That all depends on the wheels. At one time I was at 1.5" of lift with 295/70/17 Ridge Grapplers and nothing more than a fender liner mod. No rubbing at all, lock to lock, or in reverse. No BMC required either. As for the gunner wheels, they are ugly as hell. Why not swap them for something that looks good and will be more functional?

Front is .75" lower than the rear is from the factory. Anything more than .75" higher up front will lead to negative rake. You can't attempt to match front and rear center hub to fender measurements because they are not even close from the factory and the fenders are cut completely different front to rear. The TRD Pro sits level, the TRD Pro comes .75" higher up front. There are so many threads on this very subject with so much incorrect information. You want a super simple way to level it? Use a 3/8" thick Cornfed top hat spacer up front which will give you .75" of lift over stock. Done!

    I respectfully disagree.

It's 1.75" to level. I'm 1.6" higher in the front and don't have negative rake. Look at my picture on the bottom of my post. Is that nose high?

Also, Pros do not come with a lift from the factory. They have the same ground clearance numbers as the Off-Road.

I have a 2.75" front and a 1" rear lift, as claimed by the manufacturer, and sit pretty damn level.

I think the listed height on some manufacturers lifts are a bit skewed, some actually being higher and some actually being lower than what they claim... Then theres the differences from one vehicle to the next, as even some 4runners with the same lifts and same tire/wheels still sit differently. These things make people say "XYZ" is level, others saying "No ABC is level" and BOTH may very well be correct... On THEIR VEHICLE, but may NOT be for the next guy.

On my exact vehicle, i dont believe i got the full 2.75" in the front as whats advertised, though i never took measurements before or after... and i really dont care at all because my vehicle sits level, and i like the looks as it is. I see some people listing their vehicle as having a 2.5" lift and it appears to be a little higher than mine in the front and they appear to have rake, or even reverse rake... I rub quite a bit in the front with my 285s, i have seen people with 285s not rubbing at all with a 2" lift, and some rubbing even with a 3" lift...

You also cant judge a lift by pictures most of the time. The angle at which the picture is taken plays a role, as does the ground on which the vehicle is currently sitting on.

There's many ways to skin a cat, and all of them could work for certain people and none may work for other people. Doesnt mean anyone is wrong or right, just means you need to go with what you think is best in your exact situation and be ready to adjust as needed. Im adjusting by getting some trimming and a body mount chop on Wednesday. ANd once the rubbing is gone i will be 100% happy with my own setup whether i really got 1" or 3" out of my lift.

    After lift but Before tires...

Cornfedsuspension.com Look under their TRD Pro lift section. They sell a 3/8" thick front top hat spacer which works on any model. It lifts the front .75 inches with no other modifications required. Thanksgiving week I will be installing one under my dad's 2019 and I will post pictures once done. Basically drop the coilover down, slip this on top of it, bolt it back up using the bolts they include with the kit. I actually have a spare brand new set I am selling if interested. $30 shipped free.

    You
You look nose high also. Some people see it, others don't. My 2016 was lifted 2.5" front 1.5" rear and it bothered me every day. I went up to 2" rear and now I am much happier with it.

A level says otherwise on perfectly level ground... I guess some people see what they want to see. I'd have to be pretty obsessive to care at this point. Which im not.

As long as YOU are happy with your set up thats GREAT...

Replaced my front sway bar bushings at the frame with these:

    upload_2019-11-10_20-31-54.jpg

Fit was great, install was easy, ride is 100x better and no more clunk/rattle under the truck. Will be curious to see how the poly holds up vs the OE rubber, but for significantly less money, it’ll probably be worth it.

Makes no difference. Top hat is exactly the same between the pro and non pro. These will fit and work just fine no matter what model you have.

Yes they do however the top hat is identical. These are designed to level the pro that's why they are only a 3/4" lift. Fact remains they will offer 3/4" lift on any model 4Runner Yes they do have a 1" spacer for other models and that will also work on the Pro. I have crossed these many times, they all work fine. You can't however use the preload spacer made for the non pro model under the pro with Bilstein suspension due to different coil sizes.

Thanks for the info. I don’t mind the wheels but when it comes time to replace tires I may have to look into the black trd 17s depending on costs.

If you like the TRD wheels, do yourself a favor and look at the FN Wheels FX Pro. Better wheel is all aspects and they come in multiple colors. They are special order, not advertised online. You have to call Dustin at FN Wheels to order them.

May have to look into it but I also have to get the wife to agree, the Runner is mainly hers but I know she loves the black with the red trd center caps. It’s 2wd but I may look into getting a 4wd one down the road for me.

I am running the FX Pro wheels in dark gloss gunmetal. You can get them in matte black and you can add the red TRD stickers to the center caps. OEM TRD wheels are 17x7 FX Pro wheels are 17x8 The FX Pro wheel also has a little less back spacing which is ideal for bigger tires.

Im with you there! Id like to be able to run just the fogs and DRLs, or just the fogs by themselves during the day... But not enough to go through all that.

Jumper in the fuse box for what? I have had a few different 3rd gens, and i never did any mod for the fog lights but could still turn on just the fog lights and the DRLs, without the low beams on too...

These show just the fog lights and DRL on..

And a few pics of my past 3rd gens...

The first one was a 2016 SR, 4cyl... Totaled 3 weeks after i got it, before i made the first payment, due to a young lady not paying attention and turning into oncoming traffic...

2nd was a 2016 SR5 6cyl 2WD, that i had all of 3 days before the dealership called trying to change the agreed upon monthly payments, i returned it with 250 miles on it, then they tried to tell me i could keep it as agreed, but i was pissed at them for going back on their word so i said hell no and went to another dealership...

Third was also a 2016 SR5 6cyl 2WD, kept it for a year then traded it, as i really wanted a 4WD all along...

And 4th and final one was a 2017 SR5 6cyl 4X4, kept it about 2 years, until a couple months ago when i traded it for my 4runner...

I didnt have any issues with ANY of them. All ran good, no transmission issues, loved the trucks... But i figured after than many in such a short time maybe it wasnt meant to be LOL Plus i was ready for a change. Im super happy with the trade for the 4runner... Miss the truck bed but only occasionally. Like when i want to take my kayak out, or haul trash to the dump...

Weird... None of mine needed the low beams on to use the fogs. Maybe because they were Sr5 NOT trd.. maybe they changed it in 2016.... Maybe due to the region... I dont know... But i know i never did anything to make it work that way.

Had a 2012 sr5 tacoma. It required a jumper to allow for fogs to be on without the low beams.

    2019 silver SR5 4x4
I got a trailer. One for kayaks and another utility trailer... And my boat trailer as well... But they're not as convenient as just tossing something in the bed.

One place I love going kayak fishing there's no boat ramp, not much room to park, and while I can get a trailer down there it's a bit of a pain in the ass.

But I'm also not throwing my kayak on the 4R roof. My kayak weighs over 100 pounds all set up. It has battery, fish finder, rudder setup, anchor setup, rod holders etc... Not something I wanna car top by myself.

I plan on eventually buying an old beater truck just for these things... An old Toyota would be nice.
