    Greetings all,
I am wondering about the removable top on the 4runners. It looks like the removable tops were only on the 2 doors and only until 95. Is this correct? I am wondering about taking a lightly rolled gen3 (1999)and possibly making it a convertible top. Has any one else taken on this modification?

I searched Google images for you and found this. Looks doable for those with skills. Post a build thread here if you do it.

Factory removable top ended in 90 with the introduction of the second gen body style.

fun fact: 90 was also the last year of having a 2 door version available and very few were produced compared to the 4 door version.

Thanks that was more than I have found. If I do this I will post pictures. I am thinking about cutting the tops and some of the pillars and installing a cage on the inside with a sun shade. The original top will never go back the way it was.
