Good buy? 19ORP, Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70R/17 121 @ $139?

    Hi guys. I'm hoping I could get some opinions on the quality of tread on the mentioned tire & the depth quality @18/32 but more importantly the cost $$ of the tire & of course the seller.

    Was shopping around while having my eyes on the Falken Wildpeak AT3W for some time and noticed the mentioned tires on Discount Tires for $190 plus tax then noticed the same tire on Amazon and Walmart for $139. All offered the same shipping return policy BUT Walmart said I could have it overnight, in 1 day. Honestly I don't care for 1 2 3 day arrival but must admit delivery next day is impressive as my neighbor just bought his online on Saturday and had them delivered today.

    Yes it is OEM size but E rated 121s. Yes I do plan on taking it Off Road soon but I wanted to get your opinions on the tread @18/32 E rated 121s. I know I will suffer with lost MPG but I don't plan on running them 24-7 365. My plan is to run them from November or December til April.

    Any and all opinions welcome. Do you think a Falken Wildpeak AT3W E rated 121 is worth $139?

    wow, price went up since I bought in June, I paid like 110 ish... do what I did. On discount tire web site they have a price match policy, you'll need to look for it but its there. Send them a link (I had them match Amazon) and they did, then they will send you an email as a voucher good at any shop. Picture is current from today

    Cool thanks a lot. How do you like the 121 series? I know with the tread depth especially in wet snow ice mud conditions they should be awesome.

    Had them since June, no winter yet but based on 100's of reviews on tr4.org they say winter road manners are great. I HAD KO2's in winter and didn't work out well on wet cold roads

    The E Rated might ride a bit rough; which of course can be mitigated to some degree by running a lower PSI... but on the upside you’re getting a slightly tougher sidewall out of it. I liked my atw3’s when I ran them before, when my current nittos wear down, I’m planning on going back to them.

    To add to my previous comment... in my experience (ran them on my taco), they were good through winter on road, and did great off-road in the snow.

    Very nice. Love the taco, honestly wish I owned 1 ( maybe 1 day ) but for now I'm happy with my 4R. BTW what would U say is a good psi for a somewhat smooth ride?

    I would do the chalk test to find the lowest PSI where you get an even wear pattern across the line of chalk. If I had to wager a guess, I’d say you’d probably land somewhere between 28-32 PSI.

    My taco turned into a 4Runner earlier this year; while I do miss the Taco, haven’t had any regrets so far. Planning (hoping) on keeping the 4Runner for a long time.
