    '18 Taco but looking for a T4R
    Hey 4R World!
I have an '18 Tacoma Sport and I'm a regular member on TacomaWorld.

My wife currently has a '10 Highlander, but wants to get a new 4R. I decided to join to get some more info on the current gen of 4R's and see if there is anything I should be looking out for during the purchasing process.

KDSS is an option. I looked at it as additional cost and something else to break.

I chose the Offroad premium because I hated the SR5 premium seats. If I did it again, I would probably go limited and skip the lift.

KDSS is a brilliant suspension option that reduces body roll in regular driving and allows increased suspension articulation in off road situations. Your driving style and what you plan on using the 4runner for will determine if it's a worthwhile option.

Here's one of many videos explaining how it works.

I have it and love it! I wouldn't buy a 4runner without it.

That said, it is another thing that could possibly break. I haven't read about any failures here, though. Lots of guys lifted and off-roading with it.

I figure if Toyota is putting it on the Landcruiser, they're pretty confident in it's durability.

    Welcome to the forum!
